SIZE GUIDE

Not sure about your size? We’ve got you covered. You can use our handy size charts below to determine the right size for you. If you are having trouble, feel free to contact our Customer Care team with any questions, they’ve tried on pretty much everything so they know what they’re talking about!

MEASUREMENTS - CLOTHING

Not sure how to read the charts? No worries! Here are a few helpful hints... All you need is a tape measure.

1. BUST/CHEST

For bust size, lift your arms and measure a circle around your body under the arms at the fullest point of your bra cup.

2. BRA

For bra size, you need to measure around your ribs, just underneath the bust area.

3. WAIST

Measure around the natural waistline, which is the smallest part of your waist. Make sure you’re not breathing in when you measure.

4. HIPS

Standing with your heels together, measure around the fullest part of your hips.

5. GIRTH

To measure girth, place your tape measure on the centre of your right shoulder, run the tape down the front of your body (allowing for any curves at your chest and abdomen) through the crotch and back up to your right shoulder.

6. INSEAM

Wear tights or tight-fitting trousers when you measure your inseam. In bare feet take the measurement starting from the crotch seam down the inside of your leg to the floor.

7. HEIGHT

Measure from the top of the head all the way down to the toes.

CHARACTER SKIRTS

Your length measurement should be taken from waist to mid-calf (which is the widest part of the lower leg). The skirt length is measured from the waistband seam. Please don't be tempted to add too-much growing room as these skirts should not be worn too long.

GYMNASTICS HANDGUARDS

Palm guards: measure the palm of the hand from the bracelet line on the wrist to the base of the middle finger.

REI Lady / REI Swisscup: measure the entire hand from the bracelet line on the wrist to the tip of the middle finger.

BALLET & JAZZ SHOES

We sell several styles of Ballet and Jazz shoes and just to make things complicated, some of them fit quite differently to one another. For notes on the fit of specific styles please see the additional information on the individual product page. Please give us a call if you have any questions about Ballet/Jazz shoe fit.

ADVANCED IRISH DANCING SOFT SHOES

We sell several styles of Irish dancing poms and while in a perfect world we would always recommend you visit us in stores and have a fitting with one of our specialists, we understand that that is not always possible. Aoife and Hulachan poms are worn extremely tight because they will stretch. Advanced poms should be bought at least a full size smaller than your street shoe size, and remember that all sizes listed on our website are UK sizes. The pom should have absolutely no room at the toe and your heel should be fully inside the heel of the shoe. You want your foot to look slim, pointed and incredibly neat.

Remember that everybody wears their shoes differently and fitting is hugely personal. Some people want a little more space than others and considering how our feet are all different in terms of width, length, toes, and arch type; you can imagine how tricky it is to fit poms by guessing.

This size guide is a guide ONLY and unfortunately, we cannot guarantee that the size will be 100% perfect.

ADVANCED IRISH DANCING HARD SHOES
